Los NicolasCantry nacen en Santiago el aƱo 2008 mezclando blues, folk, rock y psicodelia para ver nacer lo que ellos definen como el ācountry a la chilenaā. Sus letras rayan en la teatralidad combinando picardĆa, humor y sufrimiento en canciones que en ocasiones hacen un guiƱo a clĆ”sicos del rock & roll. Las guitarras son abundantes, filosas y rĆtmicas y los teclados dan un psicodĆ©lico toque frescura al sonido de esta banda. Luego de dos aƱos de trabajo, editaron su disco debut homĆ³nimo el Ćŗltimo trimestre del 2013 y que lanzarĆ”n en vivo a mediados de este aƱo.
Sus integrantes son NicolĆ”s Ćbalo (voz y guitarra), MatĆas Miguez (teclados), Leo Espinoza (baterĆa), Diego GarcĆa (bajo) y Carlos CabalĆ” (guitarra y coros).
NicolasCantry started out on 2008, mixing blues, folk, rock and psychodelia to what they define as ācountry a la chilenaā (or Chilean country). Their lyrics border on theatricality combining playfulness, humor and pain into songs with glimpses to classic rock & roll. The guitars are heavy, sharp and rhythmic keyboards and a psychedelic touch gives freshness to the sound of the band. After two years of work, they released their homonymous debut album the last quarter of 2013 and it will be launched live on June of this year.
Their members are NicolĆ”s Ćbalo (guitars and vocals), MatĆas Miguez (keyboards), Leo Espinoza (drums), Diego GarcĆa (bass) and Carlos CabalĆ” (guitars and vocals).
