Ā«MĆŗsico autodidacta en guitarra y voz, compositor, integró a fines de los 60s uno de los grupos pioneros del rock chileno, Kissing Spell, que luego pasarĆa a llamarse Embrujo. Entrada la dĆ©cada siguiente se radicó en Londres donde comenzó su etapa compositiva, inspirado en artistas como Donovan, John Martyn, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, entre otros. AllĆ” compartió trabajos con mĆŗsicos locales y en presentaciones en varios pubs. A su regreso a Chile en 1982 formó el grupo CompaƱĆa Limitada, con quienes se presentó en locales santiaguinos y televisión. AƱos despuĆ©s, eso sĆ, grabó su primer disco solista en los estudios Master, Quebrando el Silencio (1988) y que contó con la colaboración de Rodolfo Olea, Ernesto Holmann, Juan Cordech y Jaime Riquelme.
Sin nunca dejar de componer, el 2013 volvió recién al estudio con una colección de cÔlidas canciones registradas en el Ôlbum In my Mind, con Marcelo Aedo, Carlos Cortes, Tito Pezoa, y Cristobal Platz, producido por Clara Silva y Barry Sage.
Ā«A self-taught musician on guitar and vocals, the composer Walter Junge in the late 60s joined one of the most pioneering groups of the time in Chilean rock – Kissing Spell, who later changed their name to Embrujo. The following decade he moved to London where he started to write music, inspired by artists like Donovan, John Martyn, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, and Talking Heads, amongst others. In London he collaborated with local musicians and performed in various London pubs.
On his return to Chile in 1982 he formed the group CompaƱĆa Limitada, and together they performed on television shows and popular venues in Santiago.
It wasnāt until a few years later however, that Junge recorded his first solo Ć”lbum at Master Studios, Santiago. The album titled Quebrando el Silencio (Breaking the Silence, 1988) was recorded with the collaboration of Olea Rodolfo, Ernesto Holman, Cordech, and Jaime Juan Riquelme.
Never stopping composing, in 2013 he returned to the studio with a collection of warm songs that he recorded for the CD In my Mind, with Marcelo Aedo, Carlos Cortes, Tito Pezoa, y Cristobal Platz. The album was produced by Clara Silva and Barry Sage.
