Ani del Mar y Ciriaco Pescador se encuentran definitivamente a finales del año 2012 por casualidad, donde la música y nombres se relacionaron perfectamente por mera sincronía universal.

Ani del Mar, es músico y compositora autodidacta. Se unió el 2002 a la banda de rock Aloperro con Rodrigo Hidalgo Cid (ex-guitarrista de Los Parkinson), Cristóbal Pfennings («Juanito Zapatillas», guitarrista de Pánico) y Gastón Astorquiza de Fruto Prohibido.

Ciriaco Pescador es compositor, intérprete multinstrumentista y productor musical. Se ha dedicado a la creación personal desde el año 1995. Integró la banda de rock Último Recurso con los músicos Juan Pablo Orrego y Luis Ávila. En 2000 formó, junto a Leonardo Fontecilla, la agrupación de rock fusión Bombyx Mori y registraron los álbumes Bombyx Mori (2002), Jardines Sintéticos (2005) y El Desvelo (2008).

En 2005 se unió de la agrupación ex-orquesta de Patricio Manns Surgente, realizando numerosos conciertos a lo largo de Chile. Actualmente forma parte de la agrupación Don Barbarroja con quienes ha registrado un larga-duración consistente en canciones cuyos textos pertenecen al premio nacional de literatura, Efraín Barquero.

Ani del Mar y Ciriaco Pescador ahora como Absolutos editan Árbol, su primer EP, el 2012 y sin esperar más, en el breve lapso de un año (2013), concretaron la grabación de su álbum debut, también llamado Árbol. Este fue íntegramente registrado en el hogar, con la tecnología de la que disponían y una pila de hermosas canciones que germinan desde el folk más puro y cándido hacia sonoridades diversas e incontrolables en cuanto a su destino, folk-noise han dicho algunos, canción-acústica-steampunk-retro-futurista para otros.

Ciriaco produjo el disco en su totalidad, con aportes en la masterización del músico independiente Sokio desde Nueva York. Ambos músicos, Ani y Ciriaco logran un solo camino, uniendo composiciones personales en un viaje creativo intenso, con una narrativa a veces luminosa, oscura y esperanzadora, ya que lo absoluto siempre termina siendo relativo.

Ani del Mar and Ciriaco Pescador met by chance in late 2012. Both their music and names are perfectly in sync with the universe.

Ani del Mar, is a self-taught musician and composer, who in 2002, joined the rock band Aloperro, with Rodrigo Hidalgo Cid (former guitarist of Los Parkinson), Christopher Pfennig (Panico’s Juanito Zapatillas), and Gastón Astorquiza of Fruto Prohibido.

Ciriaco Pescador is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, performer, and music producer, who has dedicated himself to musical creation since 1995 when he instigated the rock band El Ultimo Recurso with musicians Juan Pablo Orrego and Luis Avila. In 2000 he formed another band with Leonardo Fontecilla – the rock pool merger of Bombyx Mori, and recorded the albums Bombyx Mori (2002), Jardines Sintéticos (Synthetic Gardens, 2005) and El Desvelo (The Sleeplessness, 2008).

In 2005 he also joined Patricio Manns’ ex- orchestra, Surgente, performing numerous concerts throughout Chile. Now he is part of the group Don Barbarroja with whom he recorded an LP, consisting of songs whose lyrics belongs to the national prize winner for literature – Efraín Barquero.

Ani del Mar and Ciriaco Pescador now performing as Absolutos, released their first EP Árbol (Tree) in 2012,and over the short span of one year, have completed the recording of their debut album, also titled Árbol (Tree, 2013). This album has been entirely recorded at home, with the technology available to them and a stack of beautiful songs that germinate from pure and candid folk to various uncontrollable sounds in their own style. “Folk –noise” some have said; and retro- futuristic steampunk acoustic song, others.

Ciriaco produced, recorded and mixed the album in its entirety, with mastering assistance from Sokio, an independent musician from New York. Both, Ani and Ciriaco folow the same path, combining their joint and personal compositions in an intense creative journey, with a narrative at times light, at times dark, but eventually hopeful, because the absolute always ends up being relative.
